In recent years, a range of performance evaluation methodologies and
tools has been developed within disparate research communities for
the purposes of evaluation, design, and model reduction. The aim of
VALUETOOLS is to build bridges between these communities, bringing
theory and practice together in order to:
- compare and debate the complete range of performance evaluation
methodologies and their implementation into tools;
- promote interdisciplinary fl ow of technical information among industry
systems designers and researchers.
Conference program
VALUETOOLS will be hosted by University of Pisa, Italy, on October 11-13, 2006.
The detailed program is available here.
The conference features:
- A keynote speech from Peter Glynn
(Stanford University, US) on Traffic Modeling and Performance
Engineering
- A panel on simulation organized by Peter Glynn (Stanford University, US)
- A special session on Web System-Oriented Performance, organized by Michele Colajanni (University of Modena, IT)
- Two special sessions on simulation, organized by Ioannis Kontoyiannis
(Athens University of Economics and Business, GR) and Sean P. Meyn
(University of Illinois, US)
- A special session on Control and Analysis of Communication Networks,
organized by Maury Bramson (University of Minnesota, US)
and Ruth Williams (UCSD, US)
